The Poor Child

The poor child.

Twelve people sit in a room and hear a story of a child’s reactions to abuse as told by the abuser. They tell each other they are sad for the child. They assume the child is affected the way they would be. But they don’t know anything about the child, nor do they teach out to the child.

Maybe the child is an adult who was the instigator. The abuse was actually vengeance. And the reactions by child were to keep the drama boiling.

Or maybe not.
